Opportunities don’t always knock on our doors; we need to stay prepared to grab them as and when they arrive. My experiences have taught me that with a positive attitude one can achieve anything.
When I started working as a QA, I had almost no exposure in IT, let alone any knowledge of the Salesforce platform. To do justice to my role as a QA, I decided to learn relevant skills, prepared for ADM 201 and cleared the test. I was part of live projects managing most of the work, and in no time found myself successfully running all the processes.
During the process, my team helped me deliver my tasks appropriately. Eventually, I received appreciation from my client. Though the process was not easy, I got to learn a lot.
Once I came across a quote by Desi Arnaz — “Good things do not come easy. The road is lined with pitfalls”. This strengthened my will and I haven't, since then, allowed setbacks to get to me. In fact, it was self-motivation that drove me to where I am today.
Over the years, my role has seen a transformation from an individual contributor to a manager. Working with my present team has taught me some great people management skills. As a team, we’ve had our ups and downs, but our team spirit has helped us sail through troubles. Now my focus is on my team’s goal in collaboration with mine.
When things don’t go as expected, I concentrate on the loose ends and learn from the process. My mantra for life and work is – “Bring it on, I am ready! There’s nothing to lose. I’ll learn either way!"
Patience and dedication are the underlining qualities of a #GameChanger. If you have these in you, you are just a step away from bringing about a change. If you have the courage to bounce back after failing, you are already a leader in the making. So, keep going!
The real voyage of self-discovery is all about seeking new landscapes. Jamie Lyn Beatty says, ‘A job fills your pocket but traveling fills your soul.’ And I believe that. Exploring hidden gems, varied cultures and cuisines are what I love the most. Picking up a backpack and getting on a bus/flight sets my adrenaline right!
Traveling for me is a mesmerizing mentor. It helps me step out of my comfort zone and brings in a lot of perspectives. I have applied learnings from my unplanned trips to work projects. And it has worked really well for me. Instead of getting distracted with obstacles I have learned to embrace them.
Bringing in the whole-brained approach to my life helps me appreciate the uniqueness that people possess & understand their perspectives while connecting with them. This by far has resulted in overcoming the challenges that came my way.
The unplanned adventures wouldn’t have been possible without my fellow Brillians, friends, and mentors. They have helped me win the game of work-life synergy. Their perspective and approach towards handling critical situations is something that constantly inspires me.

This journey happened ‘by chance’ when a gentleman from Springboard contacted me on LinkedIn. It was not only a new venture but a challenging one - for I had always been on the other side of the line. It made me realize the mirth of sharing knowledge. There are students, freshers, enthusiasts, who approach me with their dreams of becoming a data scientist and I find joy in training them.
This success is a result of the unconditional support I received from my manager, teammates, and family.
